How to Save on Corporate CDN
I’m trying to figure out if switching our internal video delivery setup to something like Kollective actually makes sense budget-wise. We’ve had a couple of big all-hands streams where half the office froze because the network couldn’t handle it, so the IT team is now pushing for an enterprise CDN. I saw there’s a 20% discount going around, but I’m not sure what conditions usually apply or if it really changes the overall cost. Has anyone here gone through the process and can share what to expect before we commit?

We went through almost the same thing last year. The network kept choking every time we streamed a company meeting, so we ended up testing Kollective. The pricing surprised me at first, but the discount helped a lot. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check the Kollective Discount — the conditions weren’t too complicated for us. What really made the difference was how fast it handled internal software updates, especially Windows patches. We cut down a ton of bandwidth usage, so the IT guys became big fans. If your team has a solid user count or you’re ready to commit long-term, that’s where the savings usually kick in.
